Traveling with toddler

My daughter has been sick for the last 5 days. Fever on and off and now a cough. Im supposed to start her malaria medication since we are traveling to another country, but i dont know if i should. I am not in my home country right now to ask her doctor. Malaria medicine causes upset stomach nausea vomiting. I am just scared because she has already gotten so weak i dont want her to get more sick. Did you give your child travel vaccines or meds?
