No future

I’ve been dating my boyfriend Vraj for a couple of months now and everything is great except for his family. Everyone knows expect his family because they are from India and don’t believe in him dating anyone outside his race. When we first started dating we knew that once the semester ended we would have to break up because there is no future because his family doesn’t approve, but I think I love him. I am dreading the end of May because I will loose him. I’m going away to college, but the fact that we can’t even try long distance till he moves closer for college anyway in a year. It’s so hard to be in the moment when I’m thinking about loosing him. I am 18 and he is 19 both in college. Does anyone have any tips?
