Cramping from mild to severe

Hey everyone...so I’m about 7/8 weeks, this is my first pregnancy. I have my first prenatal appointment next week. For t he past week or so I’ve been having some mild cramping. They were never as bad as my actual period cramps and there’s been no bleeding. Every source I checked said that was normal so I haven’t been worrying about it. But the last two nights I have been woken out of a sound sleep by severe, almost violent cramping. It was unbearable, especially last night I felt like I was going to pass out. Both nights it lasted about 20-30 minutes before it passed. There still hasn’t been any bleeding but now I’m concerned about MC or ectopic pregnancy. Has anyone else experienced severe cramping early on? particularly anyone that’s then gone on to have normal/successful pregnancy? I’d really like to hear about it!
