Loxenox/ exnoxaparin affecting labor ?

Hey ladies I was wondering if anybody was on these medications and how did affect your labor and delivery process?? My doctor told me to try to take at night just in case I go into labor ? Anything helps I’m just really afraid of going into labor .anything helps❤️ I am most likely going to have epidural so I would like to be prepared on what to expect thanks in advance

At 36 weeks they should switch you to heprin. Its shorter acting and more ideal for labor. My doc said they will check my blood during labor to make sure all blood thinners are out of my system before starting epidural. And after birth they will put me back on lovenox for 8 weeks postpartum

I was on it for my pregnancy and my dr switched me to heparin at the end so they could control bleeding better because it only last 12hrs and i was also induced so they stopped the meds at a certain point

Surely you would need to give them up at 36 weeks? Huge risk of bleeding out on those meds during labour....

I’ve been told you cam get an epidural only if it passes 48hrs from your injection.

With my first I took Lovenox all the way up until the day before. I was able to get the epidural and there were no complications at all I had a very smooth delivery. Now with my second, I am due to be induced on Saturday because they don’t want me going past 39 weeks at all. I switched to Heparin at 37 weeks and am supposed to stop taking it the day before. I’m a little nervous cuz Switching to the heparin is new to me but with my first pregnancy when I stayed in the Lovenox, I was completely fine and had a great labor....other than being in labor 36 hours! 😅
