It’s a GIRL!!! Any advice on dealing w a partner who wanted a boy?

I am due November 1st, and was advised to have extra tests done due to my age (38). We received the best news, that the baby is healthy and because of the blood they drew were able to determine that our baby is a girl!

We are so happy our baby is developing healthy. My partner has an 18 year old daughter from his first marriage and we have a two year old daughter together, this is our last baby and I know he was hoping for a boy. I thought it’d be best to open the results in privacy rather than having a reveal party, so he could process everything at home. When we opened the email he said, “I knew it! Another girl!” He kissed my belly and looked in my eyes and told me he’s so happy for our daughter to grow up w a sister. He is even set on a name. I guess I’m answering my own question by thinking the best thing for me to do is give him time and he’ll feel better about being a daddy to 3 wonderful girls.

I sure feel blessed and am looking forward to the many adventures our girls will embark on!
