Does getting induced hurt more?

I’m currently 40wks 1day. I’m dilated 1-2 centimeters and 63 effaced. The dr gave me and option to induced today.

I’m wondering the same !! Except I don’t have a choice 😣 I have til Monday to have him on my own. (Monday is when I get induced)

Everyone is so different I’m about to be induced so I’ll find out 😂 but from all other mom friends I’ve talked too they said it wasn’t that bad . I’ve heard mostly positive experiences from women I know . But I know some people have negative experiences just depends on your body really .

They both hurt! And since everyone tolerates pain differently, you really can’t go off of other peoples opinions. I’ve had an induction and natural birth, both with no epidural and I can’t say one hurt more than the other

I think inductions hurt more but it shouldn’t make a difference if you’re getting an epidural anyway. That’s my plan.

Depends what induction method?! There are a few ways they could try induce, do you mean pitocin?

You can always wait and see. Induction for me took 4 days (began at 41+10) with different methods, and still didn't work in the end and had to emergency c-section...my body just wasn't ready even at exactly 42 weeks on April 1st (but my little one had a giant head). 
I wasn't aware that it can be a really long process due to both the methods used and hospital administration scheduling, and you might wish to see if things kickstart naturally within the 42 week timeframe (even though it didn't for me!) so you're not agonising.
Whichever happens, remember everything you're feeling is temporary and will vanish when you see your little one! Best wishes.

My waters broke naturally with both my babies, first i went into labour on my own & second baby, i had to be induced as my waters were broke for 2rhours with no sign of any contractions. I found being induced a lot easier but everyone tolerates pain differently :) x

I dont have a non induced labour to compare too but once my water was broken the contractions were unbareable, and that was with the pasery and the gel ... i had an epidural before they put me on the drip
