Drastic movement change

I am 27 weeks and 5 Days and from about weeks 23-26 I felt my baby all day during work on and off but all day and at night he would be quiet with a few moves here and there. At the start of my 27th week there was a drastic change. I feel little movements thru out the day and only once at night. Do I chalk this up to a change in position or he grew so the movements decreased? Or should I go to l&d?
