Little rituals

My baby is eight weeks old. Every single time he has a bottle, I make sure to look him in the eyes and smile at him. It isn’t always a particularly happy smile - say, at three am, or if it’s been a particularly rough day - but I ALWAYS smile at him and make sure he sees it, and I try to make it as genuine as possible so that he knows momma is happy to be making him happy.
