Any go to the hospital for migraines?
Ive had stress migraines on and off since 2014, and my PCP would give me a tramadol injection if they got too sever, and it seems to help, I get migraines every couple months and have only had to get the tramadol a handful of times. I felt like they were getting better until recently. I’ve been suffering from a lingering migraine since feb 22. Some days are better than others and I only have sore eyes and a little bit of pain. But other days are so bad that I vomit, the sun and lights severely hurt my eyes and make it much worse, and they water. Whenever it gets bad to point that I vomit every thing from my nose to the back of my shoulders hurt. Tylenol doesn’t help. I’ve spoke to my OB about this and she didn’t seemed concerned. Last Sunday I had a bad episode where I was vomiting so I called her office first thing Monday morning to see if she would see me and to see if there’s anything else I can take. The nurse told me I couldn’t take anything and if the migraine got worse I needed to go to the ER. Today it’s bad again, it started around 5pm when we were at my parents. I tried to go lay down to nap but I couldn’t. So we decided to leave and I threw up the whole 45 min drive home. My husband asked if I wanted him to take me to the ER, but I declined as I feel that there’s nothing their going to do besides give me an IV for fluid, and I’m not dehydrated. I’m currently in the bath with the lights out and a heated cloth on my neck. I literally don’t know what to do, I feel like everything is a trigger for these migraines, I have 3 other children 6 and under so it’s not like I can’t just relax and lay in bed all day if I need to. Has anyone else suffered from migraines, and do you have any advice?
