Hair advice?

I have a round cubby face and thick curly hair. I always wear it back in a pony tail (see photo below). I’m looking for some haircut advice...

I also never wear makeup so I don’t think I could go any shorter without something looking masculine even though I love people with short curly hair! Most everyone I’ve seen with that kind of cut always has a lot of makeup on. I found these two options below but would love some suggestions!
