Infected belly button??

Babies cord just fell off and this is how it looks.. is it infected or can I just clean it?

Doesn’t look infected. A little gooey. I used to clean my kids’ with a little bit of rubbing alcohol on a q-tip. Don’t pull at it any, though.

That’s what it’s suppose to look like 
I use to just clean it with water and a q tip and made sure to keep it dry. Sorts it’s self out pretty quickly. Good luck x

When my daughters fell off it still took a little bit for it to look normal and scab off. I didnt touch it at all except after a bath when I would gentle wipe off any part that looked like it was going to fall off. I would still treat it like the umbilical cord and don’t put anything on it.
