Anyone ever been in a long distance relationship?

Just curious so see! My boyfriend and I have been together for over a year and are planning on doing long distance for the next three years! He’s going off to college for a football scholarship and I’m staying at my current college. Feel free to share your personal experiences!! 💕

I was in a long distance relationship because of college too, and it didn’t end up working out. It’s hard, you meet a ton of new people and they’re well...there. It’s hard to stay connected when there’s so many new things happening. Not saying it won’t work, there are definitely success stories out there. But extra effort to stay connected and close will be crucial. Things like FaceTiming, texting throughout the day and visiting every so often will help a ton. My ex and I just drifted apart because of it, but there’s nothing saying that you shouldn’t give it a shot. If you love him, it’ll be worth it. Good luck!

I am currently in long distance with my boyfriend. It's hard, very hard but all the love we have for each other has made us hold on to the relationship till now. There are obviously problems that we face but I don't think we ever thought of giving up on the relationship because of the distance (touchwood though). So idk what will happen to us in the future but I hope we make it and I hope that you will also keep the same kind of hope during the coming 3 years.

Currently it’s been while year long distance with my Husband and we have children together! It’s ending end of this year! Yes communication is the key! I visit him often since I don’t work I guess that helps a lot for us!
