Has anyone started training their 17 month old?

My daughter is clearly ready,but I’m not sure how to go about it. This weekend...she pooped,then took her diaper off(first time she’s ever done that)...then she took her dry diaper off last night and went to sit on her potty without prompting,but wouldn’t pee🤷🏾‍♀️

I said yes, but we are doing the minimal to start. She comes and gets me when she has pooped and takes off towards her changing table to get changed. Then before her bath every night I take her diaper off while the tub fills and she sits on her own potty. I give her high fives and clap and tell her good job. I say this is the potty. That’s where we go pee pee and poop. 
I ask her if she has to pee pee or poop? 
If she wants to sit on her potty? 
I definitely don’t force her to sit on it if she doesn’t want too but majority of the time she does. 
Things like that. She hasn’t went in it yet but it’s just a matter of time before it clicks with her.

Yes. My lo doesn’t like his diaper and took it off twice so far. He always touches it and pulls on it. So we started training.

Mine is just now starting to show interest. I imagine we won’t start until after 2 unless something drastic happens. By interest I just mean that now when we’re in the bathroom together she actually pays attention to what I’m doing. I’ve started narrating so she can get used to the steps (“mama pees”, “mama wipes”, “mama flushes the toilet”, “mama washes hands”, etc.)

She always seemed so interested when i went potty. We sit on the potty when she wants to, but i let her get on and off as she wants ❤ hasn't peed yet, but she understands the entire process and its just a matter of time!! We wear pull ups during day because shell tug on them and try to get them down when she wants to sit on potty. Then I clap and cheer and tell her yay! Haha

We’ve started because she’s definitely been interested but we aren’t pushing it too hard yet. I try to make sure she sits on the potty at least once a day and sometimes she will tell me “I poop” so then I sit her on it. Sometimes that means she needs to go and other times it means she has already gone in her diaper lol But I figure at least she’s recognizing the feeling! We are going to work harder on it next month I think.
