Do you think it's annoying when people call their pets their "kids?"

I was talking to this lady in the store and we were talking about our kids, I told her I had a baby who was 3 months. She tells me she has a baby 1 year. I show her pictures of my baby and she pulls out her phone and shows me a picture of her dog. I got confused and told her I think she has the wrong picture up and she looks confused back at me and goes "no??"

she might not be able to have kids or she might have suffered losses if she want to see her pet as her child or her baby I don't think there's anything wrong with that it's none of your business or anyone else's business and it's not for you or anyone else to pass judgement on

Sometimes it’s annoying only when people compare their pet to a real baby or kid and have no idea what it’s like to have the “real” thing. Like they try to relate to your situation with your baby/kid with their pet. That’s annoying to me. There really is no comparison of the two. However, I completely understand when people refer to their pet as their child or baby. A pet is definitely part of the family.

Normally doesn’t bother me...but usually people would add the fact that their baby had fur or a tail or something to specify that it’s a dog. She’s acting like her dog is on the same level as the human baby that you created and birthed with your body 🤦‍♀️

If someone said this is my dog he’s my child/baby, I don’t mind or care. But in that situation I would be so confused lol

So my husbands cousin told me that her dog was just as much work to handle as my 3 year old human child! She constantly compares them saying how lucky I am that my son sleeps through the night because her dog wakes her up🤦🏻‍♀️
