Is it weird that I can relate to a Christian song (You Say by Lauren Daigle) even though I'm an atheist?

It just seems weird to me because she's  singing about how much God helps her but I don't even believe in a God. I can relate to it because it reminds me of four of my teachers who reminded me that I'm strong and I'm loved when I was at a dark time of my life. But it feels weird that I'm relating to something I don't believe in, ya know?

Lots of religions and philosophies have a wealth of wisdom in them!  I think it’s wonderful when you can find some helpful nuggets of gold from them to help form your very own values, truths and beliefs 😊

Any good song will be relatable even in different circumstances.
Lauren is an amazing songwriter, and she's done it in a way that it can also be on mainstream radio and reach other people.

I’m not atheist, I’m omnist. But regardless I don’t think it’s weird that you find comfort in a “Christian” song. I left christianity behind a couple of years ago, but a lot of my favorite “Christian” songs still give me joy and comfort - and oddly enough they don’t explicitly mention the Christian god.
