28 Weeks & Car Accident

Yesterday was the start of 28 weeks/third trimester for me so I was automatically in a great mood. I go into work one day a week, on Wednesday’s, as the other days I work from home. I went into the office as normal, but left early and ended up at the end of a 4-car pile up, totaling my vehicle. Everything happened so quickly I didn’t even know the details or what took place. Luckily my husband works nearby and took one of those city scooters to me (we’re a one car family) and was able to hear the details and see that everyone else involved was fine and barely had any damage to their cars.

I was hysterical immediately after the accident because I was so worried about the baby. She moves non stop now and for the hour between the accident and the ambulance to the hospital, I could not feel her move. I am so beyond grateful that both my baby and myself are okay! Somehow the airbag did not go off for me which my doctors and family say was a miracle. I just made it out with some bruises and soreness and our baby girl probably didn’t notice anything at all except her mama’s stress before I found out she was doing fine! It was the scariest day of my life and I caution all of you beautiful mamas to be extra careful while driving! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
