Placenta Accreta

Does anyone have experience with placenta accreta? I am 28 weeks and my doctor discussed the possibility of me developing this condition because my placenta previa is not improving. She mentioned that she will have a specialist look at my ultrasound tomorrow, but the suspense is killing me. I know I shouldn't have, but I Googled it and Google has absolutely nothing short of horrifying to say about this. Am I going to need to have a hysterectomy? A blood transfusion? This is my first baby. I am so scared.
