Zoloft third trimester??

Question

I’m fighting depression and severe anxiety. They would like to start me out on 25mg of Zoloft. Has anyone started this later in the pregnancy? I’m SO worried ladies.

Oh hun I was on this before my pregnancy! I was on 50 and the withdrawals are AWFUL. Especially if you take it regularly and forget it one day, it was always hell for me at least. I talked to my doctor and it’s always possible for your baby to go through withdrawals off it as well when it’s born even though it’s one of the safest to take apparently during pregnancy. I was on this medicine for over 2 years and have winged myself off it during my first trimester. You can always try it but do read up on the withdrawals and side effects because it was so hard and bad for me. It forgot it one day and I wound up passing out in the shower (very early pregnancy) and it scared me shitless so I stopped taking it. It might not be the same experience but do do do read up on the side effects and withdrawals since you’re going to be a busy mommy you might forget!
