We would have been allowed. We were given a choice. But we chose one since it was our first transfer and we thought we had a good chance for it to work and didn’t want the risk of multiples of it wasn’t necessary. We were shocked when he asked how many we wanted to transfer because we didn’t even know it was a choice. My husband thinks they offer it to everyone because some people can only afford one round of IVF and technically it is your choice. I’m not sure if all clinics are like that. My clinic makes suggestions based on age and number of failed transfers.

My RE allows you to choose how many but he suggests 1 at a time. A patient at my clinic is currently pregnant with quads!

My RE recommends transferring 2 embryos but we are going to transfer only 1 since we dont want to risk the chance of having twins.
