Afraid to hope

I am 38 and I am lucky enough to have a little boy that will be 6 in July. Me and my husband have been trying for baby #2 for 20 months. In the beginning I didn’t worry too much because it took 10 months to get pregnant with my son and I had a lot of irregular af. I am finally regular at af coming every 26 days. Today is day 26 so far there is no sign of af this time. I have been feeling extremely exhausted today and I keep just thinking it’s that time again. I am afraid to hope that this is finally our month. Not sure how long I should wait to test. Fingers crossed that this is it.
