Id say it depends if you still actually have contact with him. If you do then you should tell him 
Honestly though in the past i haven’t always swapped numbers or added one nighters on FB (well a 1 nighter is meant to be just that) and I don’t usually know their last name or anything so because of that I wouldn’t have been able to tell them. But then again i used condoms to help prevent STDs.
