Does walking really help induce labor?

So I’m 38 weeks 1 day & 2 cm open, his head is super low from what the doctor said, and I just wanna know if walking will actually help him come sooner, or is that just a myth?

I would say yes -- 1st labors obviously take longer. I was encouraged to walk. It was a 30 he labor, but walking helped her work her way down. My second, I took a walk in the early evening with my 1.5 y/o. I was 39w4d and having very irregular contractions all day -- I didn't have one during my walk. We ate dinner, put my daughter down. Then we decided to lay down. My partner said you'd better let me know if you feel anything because I'm going to need a shower. Contractions started at 9:30pm and my son was here by 12am. It was incredibly intense and fast. I swear it was the walk that did it!!

I walked 6 miles a day and ended up getting induced at 40 +3

Somewhat you just have to walk a ton sometimes just depends. I drank Midwives Brew and jogged up and down stairs that pushed my contractions on. I went swimming with my second and my mucus plug came out in whole and then my water bag was bulging. I had to go to the ER afterwards I was in labor and had him 2 hrs later. With my third I went up and and down stair and did the baby momma dance.
