What should I expect at HSG sonogram test?

Also I’m going to be on my last light day of my period when I go in. Just spotting, is that okay??
But what should I expect... internet says anywhere from 10-45min procedure!?!

Totally okay to be on your period. Depends on the person but for me it didn’t hurt at all! It took 10 minutes and i was done.

I would for sure let them know you’ll be on your period.  My facility would not perform the test in that case, but obviously everyone is different. But I’d urge you to call in the morning before you go in to make sure:)
And hopefully it’s all no big deal for you!! (Mine was less than 5 min)😘

My advice is to take some ibuprofen at least 30 minutes before. It wasn’t painful but it was uncomfortable at parts and I was crampy the rest of the day. The cramps would’ve been worse I think if I hadn’t taken the ibuprofen
