When should baby stay head down?

So I just joined the group I’m 28 weeks. My little man is still small enough to keep flipping all over. At how many weeks should he be head down permanently?

My first was flipping between head down and transverse since like 24 weeks (I have no idea what the position was before), then stayed head down after 34 weeks. This one is the same so far, head down or transverse, it’s so weird that he is exactly in the same position as his brother! And I even have a posterior placenta while I had anterior with my first. I am 28 weeks.

They usually don’t decide to settle down till 32 weeks

You baby can decide to change position at any moment my son was head down the day before my induction I got to the hospital and he flipped head down and at this point I was 41 weeks.

I think it depends on the baby. My first was head down from 18 weeks and didn’t flip back around. This one is breech and isn’t showing any signs of flipping at 30 weeks. I can tell by kicks. But I’ll have a repeat csection, so I’m not worried. Walking around with a head down baby is much more uncomfortable than with a breech baby!

My dr said not to worry about it until 36w 🤷🏽‍♀️ idk. I can’t tell where my baby is facing half the time.
