Does your baby respond to his/her name?

My baby still doesn’t look when I say his name. Heck, sometimes he’s so intently staring he doesn’t look when I clap or make a loud noise. I know he can hear, because if I blow a raspberry he looks right away. Sigh. Leap 4 said it was a skill he should’ve gained.

I think my baby thinks his name is Hi! Lol because we usually say hi a lot to him or hi before his name ! And he won’t turn if we say just his name but if we say ‘hi!’ He perks up lol oops

No. I don’t think she knows her name cause we call her too many nicknames 😬. We should probably start calling her by her name

My son has only just started responding to his name and that is because I have been working on it. I’m in the too many nicknames boat as well so I have been deliberately call him Daniel for the past week or so.

Not really but it’s because hubby calls him Bubby and I call him Monkey all the time🙈he’ll respond to both of those tho lol

We call our daughter mamas so she responds to that. She’ll occasionally respond to her actual name but not much. We’ve gotta start using her real name more lol

We have a bad habit of calling him papa and not his real name lol but he turns when we call out papa.

Idk when I call my LO’s name he instantly smiles and turns his head quick . Maybe bring it up with your pedi . But looking at the poll it seems like it isn’t NOT normal . Maybe he’s just doing things at his own pace
