at home lash lift

sooo i need some help ladies. my eyelashes are decently long but they get blonde at the end and they’re STICK STRAIGHT, almost facing downwards. i curl my eyelashes every day but if my eyes water for any reason the curl is gone and it gets really annoying. lash extensions i guess don’t work well on these types of eyelashes, so i’m thinking about a lash lift. i have read horror stories about both lifts done at home and at the salon. my question is, what are your guys’ experience with these, diy and professionally?? should i heed the warnings, get it done by someone who knows what they’re doing, or just not do it at all??? thanks girls :)
