I. AM. PISSED

So today is Easter Sunday. I had my whole pregnancy announcement planned, ready to tell my family WE'RE PREGNANT (And, oh, by the way it's twins). Exciting news to tell people, right? Something my husband and I should have had the right to do, RIGHT?

Well, we go to his family... walk in... All around the room, "CONGRATS ON THE TWINS." We didn't tell anyone other than his parents, and explicitly told then not to tell ANYONE, as I've never had a viable pregnancy before - just miscarriages. Well, turns out, my MIL blabbed to E V E R Y O N E.

Now that THAT announcement was ruined, it was time to go to my family. No issue there right? My mom can keep a secret. We go to my dad's side first, and guess what?? As soon as we walk in, bombarded by more CONGRATULATIONS.

For SOME reason, my MIL told my aunt's husband (her cousin's EX-husband) that I was pregnant with twins, so the news spread like wildfire all over that side of the family. I don't get it! She hates him because of how her cousin and him ended things. It's like she did it on purpose. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Luckily, when we got my mom's family, our announcement was greeting with screams of excitement and tearful hugs. All while my mom and grandma (who I personally announced to) sat smugly behind because they already knew lol.

I'm just beyond pissed that the first time I get to announce a healthy pregnancy, it's all ruined by my mother-in-law. My husband and I are ready to tell her to not worry about these babies, and we'll fend for ourselves (she's ridiculously wealthy, and while she doesn't want to offer to see them or help take care of them, she wants to buy anything and everything). We don't want her to be a part of any of our lives at this point. She's done nothing but disrespect us and cause drama. She kidnapped my nephew before and she's essentially psychopathic. I don't know what to do with her.
