What does the beginning of a miscarriage feel like

I have a D&C scheduled for tomorrow morning. 
I have started to get cramps down my legs/lower abdomen/cervix/vagina every 10-15 minutes.
My lower back is also very tight and crampy. 
I haven’t had any bleeding but a lot of discharge. 
Every time I google it, it says it starts with bleeding. I just don’t know what to expect/when to go in. (My OB told me to go into the ER if it starts on its own)

When I started I got cramps that kept coming and going (felt like how I thought contractions would be) and 2 hours later I started bleeding and it became like a period.  So sorry for your loss.

When I had my miscarriage I just started bleeding one day and it got heavier. I went in and it was like a full period when they told me.

I had no pain to start with, just brown when I wiped, then it got heavier and more painful. I then had awful contractions. They subsided, I passed the sac painlessly. Then I had another bout to contractions before passing more. I’m so sorry for your loss it’s awful and if you need someone to talk to- I’m here

I’ve had two and both are very different my first one was more like I was going into full labor with all of the labor pains and back ache I could count my contractions a few minutes apart for hours before anything started happening and then with my second one I just had some pain and started bleeding kind of out of nowhere very very heavily

I had to have another D&C, this time an emergency one after my first one last Monday. My uterus was distended and full of blood and clots. My cervix was completely closed and not letting almost anything through. I’m lucky I came in because I could have lost my whole uterus if it had ruptured.
The OB on call was pissed because I was seen in the ER the Tuesday after my first surgery where they took a CT of my abdomen. He could clearly see the swelling and free fluid and clots in my uterus along with my completely closed cervix. He asked us if they had paged OB the first time, and we told him we were told they did and that what I was feeling and my symptoms were normal. My uterus was stretched so so so thin that he was concerned he would puncture it during the surgery.
Thankfully it seems everything has gone right this time and he gave me a medication to help my uterus cramp down to hopefully avoid any more complications. 
This last week has been so traumatic and I just want to heal emotionally and physically so we can try to add to our family again.

Had my D&C today. I was very panicky and crying and sad so they gave me something to relax. I’m doing okay now, I was in recovery for longer than normal. My cramping is pretty intense but they’re giving me pain meds.
I’m home now, but my whole operation team besides the surgeon were female. They all stood there and held my hands and wiped away my tears before I went out. That meant a lot.
