Hayden's Birth Story 🎀❤️

Amanda

Hayden Mackenzie born 4/22/19 at 7:02 am, weighing 7lbs 1oz and 20.5 inches long!

I woke up on Easter with a ton of my mucus plug coming out with a tinge of brown in it (I didn't think much of it because I had been losing my mucus plug for about 2 weeks). Then I started getting contractions around 4 pm and timed them at around 5 mins apart. I wasn't sure they we're actual contractions because they felt like INTENSE period cramps. My sister told me to call my OB and she told me to go to L&D. When I first got there I was only 1cm dialated and 70% effaced (same as my previous check up almost a week earlier). Doctor decided to admit me at 7 pm because I was 40 +1 and having bad contractions. After being admitted my husband and I walked the hallways and I got in a Jacuzzi! After having bad contractions through both my doc came in and checked me and I was 5cm so they decided to give me an epidural at around 11 pm. After that I was living the life! In and out of sleep and only feeling pressure when having contractions! At around 4:30 am my doctor told me I was at 9 cm and 100% effaced and that we would wait an hour until I could push. Started pushing at 5:30 am and took an hour and a half to finally meet my beautiful baby girl! So glad she is finally here! ❤️🎀❤️🎀
