IUD dangers 😣 (PLEASE READ FULL POST)

So as of yesterday I’m birth control free. I was recently on the IUD (Mirena). I loved everything about it.. loved that I didn’t even have to remember anything about birth control. Until one day I went to the hospital for a uti, then another uti the next week, then another. Something told me to get my IUD checked so I did. My doctor informed me that he could no longer see the string (I wasn’t doing the self checks as I should’ve) so I was sent to get an ultrasound of my uterus... nothing. The IUD was no longer in my uterus. So the next step was an X-ray which showed the IUD had gone through my uterus & was sitting beside it. So I was scheduled for surgery on April 22nd at 11am. During the surgery we ran into some complications... the iud had moved again since the first X-ray two weeks ago. So after the first cut I had to get another X-ray. The IUD had started burying itself in my fat. So I ended up with 3 cuts on the surface of my stomach & a few cuts to the fat inside my stomach. So ladies I know this was long but PLEASE GET YOUR IUDS CHECKED!!!!!
