Dying hair at home while pregnant?

I’m 10.5 weeks and my hair looks AWFUL. I need to re-dye it so badly. I’ve been trying to wait for the end of the first trimester but I’ve heard so many mixed things about hair dye. Some say it’s fine and won’t hurt the baby unless you literally eat the hair dye, others say only in a well ventilated room, still others say don’t do it at all. I dye my hair at home and my bathroom has a window. If I open that would it be ok to dye my hair? I can go outside for the actual dye process I’d just be inside the bathroom to apply it.
