When do they offer IUI?

I am coming up on a year TTC in June. I did get pregnant in December but miscarried in January. My husband has low motility. Will they offer IUI or make us wait longer? We didn’t try in January or February since I was miscarrying so technically we’ve tried 9 months and got pregnant once.

I think if everything is clear with you etc you can request it now. My husband has low progression and we had been trying six months. We were told we could try any time we wanted. So we are moving forward with iui.

After all blood work and diagnostics, we found out hubby has slow motility. 1 st place I went said we had no hope but IVF. Years later our new RE put me on Femera,  ovulated w/o trigger and we went for IUI.  2x failed on iui now on our 3rd iui attempted. Being it's slow motility they may start you with that

For us as soon as they found out we have severe MF which was 3 months into TTC. No point waiting if it’s obviously not going to happen naturally.

I was basically in your situation, but I didn’t know anything of my husband’s SA before the appointment. My husband and I started TTC in March 2018. I got pregnant in July, but had a MMC in September with a d&c. OB told us we could start trying again right away so we did, but we’ve had no luck. I do have PCOS so I made an appointment to see the RE in March, our year mark. I ended up having the antral follicle count ultrasound that showed 15 follicles, my FSH was 9.1, AMH was 2.0, my HSG was showed open tubes, my husband’s morphology was 3% which is 1% below normal.
The RE said there’s no real reason we haven’t gotten pregnant again. He recommended my husband take a multivitamin and CoQ10. I’m taking extra folate, vitamin D, ovasitol, and CoQ10 as well on top of my prenatal. He also recommended femara, ultrasound monitoring, trigger shot, IUI, and progesterone suppositories. I just started this stuff this cycle, but we didn’t get to do the IUI due to our work schedules so we just did timed intercourse with all the meds instead. I’m glad I was monitored though because my ultrasound showed thin lining so I took estrogen vaginally for 7 days too.

Under the age of 35, 1 year.  Over the age of 35, 6 months.  They may try some medications first, but not a bad idea to consult with OB/RE.

1 year here and had a miscarriage in December. In February my doc said it’s time to start preliminary testing and to keep trying naturally. This month I am all in with medicated IUI , I would recommend going to see an RE because you will have a good 1-2 months of testing before they will even start anything

Our doctor wanted us to try Clomid first and then investigate other options.
