Google has failed me

I got my eyebrow pierced nearly 6 months ago and I haven't ever taken it out. I have to get an MRI in 2 weeks though, so I need to figure out how to take it out. It's a clicker/ hinged segmented hoop. Google and youtube haven't been able to tell me how to take it out.

I can see the hinge and seam, and I've tried to gently pull it apart but it doesn't budge. Should I just pull at it harder? Is there some trick to it? Any advice you might have would be greatly appreciated!😉
