Please. Help. Me.

My 19m/o will not use a spoon. He throws it across the room, then uses his hands (for yoghurt!).

Whenever he has finger foods, he picks them up, squishes it in his hand and throws it. I thought maybe he didn’t like it, but if I put it in his mouth, he eats it! And now he even does it with food I KNOW he likes!

How can I get him to use his spoon, and stop him from squishing his food and throwing it?

If I ignore him and let him do it, he doesn’t each much, if anything, and then keeps me up all night when he’s hungry. When he goes to bed full, he sleeps 12-14 hours!! Help!

Edit: he has always fed himself. I never fed him (except with a spoon). It’s only recently that I’ve had to hand feed him because he won’t eat anymore.
