Antidepressants while pregnant

I have a history of anxiety and depression, I went off all meds with my last pregnancy and after breastfeeding went on Xanax as needed. Once I found out I was pregnant I stopped the Xanax. I've really been suffering. I was also diagnosed with perinatal depression. Dr has said he will prescribe me meds but I've been hesitant. It's been getting worse and worse.

Anyone have any history or suggestions with this?
