Confused

All right ladies this one is throwing me for a loop. So I’m going to the bathroom tonight to use the toilet and after I’m done I wipe and the toilet paper is covered in blood and this clear thick stretchy discharge. This is the second day of my period and I’m filling tampons and pads but this is new and I can’t figure out what it’s from. To clear out the possibility of a miscarriage I haven’t had sex since before January and I haven’t missed a period since then. This was only a small amount that came out but I’m confused and any ideas would be great. I know discharge still occurs during your period but I feel like this is abnormal.
