Growth ultrasound?

When did everybody get their growth ultrasounds? I'm very nervous I wont be able to have my son naturally. All the babies in my family and my husbands have been large. I was 10 lbs 8 oz. My husband was a month early and 9 lbs. My grandfather was 13 lbs. Small babies do not run in my family. I am 37 weeks and baby has not dropped at all. Doctor hasn't ordered an ultrasound at all even with the large babies in my family. Also my mother has super high blood pressure. Would you be worried about the decisions of your doctor???

I got mine today!! 37w and 7.7lbs. I'd trust your doctor... But bring up concerns for sure. Here's a pic of my chunker to cheer you up!

Having mine tomorrow at 30 weeks 4 days. 
I see why you’re concern. You should definitely bring up the fact that you would like a scan and tell them about your concern. We should trust our doctors but you have every right to question things.

Why would I be worried? They are the professionals. I trust them. You have to trust them (to a certain extent) growth scans here dont just get handed out unless there is a real reason to. I seen a woman on here gave birth to a 11 pound something baby, naturally, no gas and air no nothing then you see some women giving birth to a 6 pound baby and needed everything. Every birth is different. Just because you may have a bigger baby doesn't mean you wont be able to give birth naturally.

I mean big babies can get stuck and it puts them in danger. So yes if they're saying theres a risk to your baby I would absolutely trust them.
