Spit up?

My little man is 5 weeks 3 days today and after each feeding along with his burp he’s spits up A LOT, he hasn’t always been this way, it has just seemed to start this week and he does it with both breastmilk & formula. How often are y’all burping your LO’s during a feed? My little man eats a 4oz bottle every 3-4 hours and gets burped once after 2oz and again when he is done. Anyone else experiencing this?

I had the same thing happen to me but my baby is only formula fed & she was constantly spitting up no matter what I did & she would majority of the time she would choke on that spit up & I took her to her pediatrician and he told us to give her Enfamil A.R it has rice starch so it’s thicker and now she’s only spitting up if has excess formula in her tummy which is either never or once in a day.

The same was happening to me so I had to burp my LO after every oz. I also started giving him formula Enfamil (Gentlease) and breast feeding every other feeding. I started doing that because not only was he spitting up but he was very gassy and couldn’t poop.

I always burp my son mid feed.. sometimes he will unlatch and I use that time to sit him up and burp him.i dont always do it after the feed though,because often he will fall asleep while nursing and I dont want to risk waking him lol

my girl. she's been doing it since 1 or 2 weeks. after every meal, if she doesn't burp enough, she spits up and i have to change her clothes 1-2 times.

My LO gets 4 oz every 3 hours. I try to burp her after every oz, but I can't always get a burp out of her. She spits up small amounts quite a bit, even up to two hours after she eats. My pediatrician said as long as she's not projectile vomiting or spitting up large amounts at a time that it is normal.
