Contractions?

How long did y’all have cramping before y’all actually went into labor/your water broke? 
I’ll be 36 weeks on Wednesday & today and yesterday I have been cramping that feels like period cramps, and some really hurt. I can still walk/talk through them and they’re off and on. I’m having those and frequent Braxton Hicks. 
I’ve heard period cramping is one of the things to watch out for. I’m not having any other “symptoms” so I honestly don’t think I’ll be going into labor right now or anything lol but I also don’t want to be completely caught off guard. I’m a FTM so this is all new to me.

Mine started early afternoon and then by early evening I was in full blown labour 10 cm dilated on the car and pushing lol 😂 some people are quick others take days

following. i’m leaking so much discharge 😭😭 ill be 34 weeks on tuesday but these cramps have been so strong the last two days as well as the past 3 days with the increased cm. i feel like i should be wearing a diaper right about now 😂 took my dog for a 20 minute walk yesterday and i felt like it was going to start something, i was in so much pain ugh lol

With my first I started with contractions, it wasn’t very clear they were contractions, just like cramping but would come & go. It was in the middle of the night so I just kind of tried to chill, breath & just get rest. 2 hours later they were more regular & stronger. So I woke my husband up & said to him I think I’m having contractions. Nothing much happened until early hours they were strong so like 7 hours about 7am after first pains, they were regular every 5 minutes. I went into hospital at this point to get checked, I was only 2cm but stayed there. I didn’t deliver till 8pm that night, so a whole day of fighting contractions on no pain Relief, my waters broke at the end when I was pushing, the midwife broke them. I was in the birthing pool right till I had to push, I was 2 hours pushing(the easy bit) & finally met my baby boy. Hardest part was contraction pain & recovery. I had a continuous stitch due to tearing. I couldn’t sit down properly for 4/6 weeks. But you get there in the end & have another just like me lol xx

I started cramping at 10pm with my first and couldn’t sleep through them anymore by 4:30am. Went in to hospital at 9am and was only 5cm. Had lots of CM leading up to that in the week before.

I would go in just to be safe. I always start with cramp before labor contractions kick in.

With my daughter, I never had contractions, real or BH, at least that I could feel. My water broke and when we got to the hospital about 90 minutes later is when I first started to feel them.

With both of my last babies I didn’t have any cramping or warning! The 1st baby I woke at 5 in the morning with full on contractions I managed to hold out at home till 11 then when I got to hospital I was 9cm dilated. 2nd baby my waters broke and I immediately started having intense contractions (baby was born 1hr 45 mins after waters broke) 
So I didn’t get any warning I just went straight into labour
