Freedom Day 🤗

It's been nearly one year, I really can't believe it... I'm typing this to share my one year of freedom. To be free is a privilege, for some it's a blessing. To me? I'm blessed to be free. I'm blessed I don't have to hide everything I do or say to others. I'm blessed it didn't get any worse than it did. I made it out alive! May 25, 2018... my freedom date... I'll never forget... I was abused for 5 months, not long but it still caused a ton of scars, mentally. It does not matter the length of time you were abused, no one should experience it in any way. No one should experience hate messages, or have someone stalk you, harass you and control you and make you scared to death to speak to anyone or do anything. No man, no woman. My biggest regret is not telling anyone the TRUTH and not getting the law involved, which they needed to... I was too nice, perhaps, but I feel like if I did reach out he would be in jail (theft, harassment, attempted rape, sexual harassment, etc.), it got to the point where I was terrified to go to work everyday (we worked together). I get it, it's hard to mention to anyone that someone is abusing you. It's scary.. you feel trapped... I understand... I never told anyone what happened to me until 6 months AFTER everything happened. I was scared. Please, if you or someone you know is being abused in any way, please please seek help. My situation would have been much worse if it wasn't for the people who saw me change and wanted to be around because they felt like I needed someone. I'm thankful for them to this day. Seek help. Don't let anyone hurt you, control you, etc. You are worth more and deserve more than the person who hurts you 🌼💆🏼‍♀️

Today, 1 year later. I'm married to the man of my dreams (different guy! lol) and I'm starting my military career tomorrow! Anything can happen no matter the time frame, stay strong ladies! 💕
