Living with parents
So I’m 24, and I’m living with my parents. I moved in, in December with my 2 kids and husband. Our plan was to start house hunting while saving money so we didn’t get into another lease or waste money on rent. I’m a real estate agent, but I work mostly from home. I also just found out I’m pregnant in February, so I’ve been really sick and tired all of the time. Anyway, since we moved in, it’s been pretty great. Everyone gets along. My mom and I take turns cooking and doing dishes. I keep our rooms clean. We split grocery and home supply bills. It’s working pretty smoothly. We finally found a home in our price range that we love, and we are currently in contract. We should close by June. We’re all pretty excited.
My only complaint is that my parents have company over ALL OF THE TIME. My husband and I are not like that. We have kids, we have jobs and we rarely have company over. I’m also an introvert so it’s hard for me to be social. I’m not sure how to get through this last month. I’m hiding in my room with my kids so I don’t have to talk to total strangers while my parents have them over for dinner. My husband works late nights so it’s hard to go out and do anything to avoid days they have company. Any tips on how to handle this? How I can get over it? I’m in my pajamas all day because I work from home and I’m sick, so I hate having to get dressed. 😂 Any insight would be nice. I don’t want to bring it up to my parents because it’s been going so well and I don’t want to ruin that in this last month. I just keep fearing the house may fall through and then I have more months of constant company 😩
