If he’s circumcised, make sure you pull back the skin during diaper changes. My son’s penis kind of turtled inward until he lost the fatty patch around the area so we had to make sure we pulled it back for the first year. Otherwise, sounds like something to mention to his doctor.

Is he circumcised? I don’t really know the rules of clean for non circumcised babies, but that would be my first point of reference. That said, my second son has always been a bit stinkier. More sweaty, and requires a more baths than my first. He’s just generally more stinky down there too. Definitely worth a mention to your pediatrician though! (Both my boys are circumcised.)

A slight sweaty smell can be normal considering the diaper area rarely gets a chance to air out. If it’s a strong/offensive odor you probably want to bring it up with your pediatrician.

My son is the same age and not circumcised and sometimes his bottom does stink until he gets a bath. I don’t think anything of it though. He literally sits in poop and pee so that’s bound to not smell good.
