How soon can you hear a heartbeat when you go for a scan?

Just wondering, how soon can you hear a heartbeat, my first appointment js in a week and I would be 8w5D then, I know it might be extremely early. Just want to know when normally the heartbeat is detectable

With my first we heard the heartbeat at 8 weeks! I think it’s around 6 weeks is the earliest? I may be wrong, but by 8 weeks you’ll be able to hear it!

With all three of mine the heart beat was seen at 8 weeks but couldn’t be heard. Some are able to hear but in all of mine we could only see it flickering.

Saw ours at 5 weeks but only heard it at 7 weeks.

I heard the heartbeat via transvaginal ultrasound at 7w4d but I think it depends on the technology they use.

In uk where i live were not aloud to hear the heart beat till over 14-15 weeks as they said hearing heart beat from doppler disturbs the baby 🤷with my first im pretty sure i heard it earlier than that xx

I saw and heard my babies heart beat at my first appointment! But I went in at 9w5d!

Usually they won’t play it that early. You can see it starting at 6 weeks..
