Horrible diaper rash

My son has had diarrhea for 3 days now and i think he has a virus, it has caused him to get this horrible rash, i bathed him and let him air dry for a bit, he now has a diaper on and i used aquaphor diaper rash cream. Is there anything else I can do for him?
