How do you ladies and your hubbies work with a baby?

I’m about to be a first time mom and My husband and I both work. I was wondering how you ladies do it? Do you and your SO work opposite shifts to take care of baby? Do you take baby to daycare that young? We’re very worried about how we’re going to balance everything out because we currently both work day shift and we share one car.

My husband and I both work in the day and our 1 & 2 year old daughters are in daycare near our house. Our 5 year old is in all day kindergarten. 
Our daughters love going to school and playing with their friends. They get sad on the weekends when they don’t get to go to school. Find a great daycare near you.

Carpool or invest in a 2nd car. My husband and I work opposite shifts, 1st and 3rd, it’s like we’re both single parents and my mom watches our LO’s when I’m at work during the day and he’s sleeping. It’s awesome if you can get family to babysit. Your baby isn’t able to tell you if someone is hurting them, also daycares are sketchy and expensive. As far as everything else, you’ll grow accustomed to the new routine with a baby and you’ll forget what it was like without them. Good luck!

The first year we worked opposite shifts and then I went to a job where I worked full time and had to put our son in daycare. When I found out I was pregnant I ended up quitting my job. Since daycare for two was not possible

We are lucky to have family watch the kiddo. But if not able to we have someone who does in home child care. We work same shift.

We have an amazing day cate option in our place of work. We work the same shift, and drop baby off in daycare right before work and pick him up after, then pick our older 2 children of from the school after school care program.

I was blessed to been able to stay home for 6 months with my first daughter, then when I went back to work my mother in law watched her for the next year. After she was 16 months, we started doing daycare twice a week and my MIL watching her twice a week until she turned 3. Now she’s going to preschool full time (5 days a week). My husband was able to take 7 weeks off with my first daughter. 
With our second daughter, I’m only taking 5.5 months off, and my husband is taking 10 weeks off. We will have a live in nanny (Au Pair) stay with us probably for the next two years (she arrives August 2nd) and when our second daughter turns 2, she will go to the same school as my first daughter. My MIL and FIL will be retiring this summer so we can’t ask her to watch our second baby.
