I did it!
So, I started my college journey 5 years ago when I graduated high school. I did okay, but I struggled more than I expected. I got married about a yet later, at only 18, and my husband convinced me that I was wasting money and time. I quit going and was placed in academic probation. I had a daughter, Ammarie, but my husband was an alcoholic and later I found out he was a drug addict. He was horribly mean and a cheater. We got divorced when I was only 20.
I started dating my high school sweetheart again and he is amazing! He convinced me to go back to school, helped me back on my feet, and loves my daughter like she’s his own. Her dad moved 10 hours away and has only seen her three times the past 2 years, their relationship is biweekly FaceTimes. She calls my now husband her daddy. He’s so great to us.
Last summer, I took 4 classes when the school recommended I only take 2. I made all A’s. Last fall, 2 A’s and 2 B’s. I just got my final grades back for the spring semester, and I made A’s in every class! That’s 6 A’s!! I went from a 2.2 GPA to a 3.52!!! All while working, raising my daughter, moving, and getting married!
I’m so so proud of myself. 😊
Also, pics because they’re my world. ❤️
