Too much clothing?

This might be a dumb question, but I am really hot natured. I keep the house at 70 degrees during the day, but turn it up to 72 at night, because my daughter’s hands always feel cold. I want to put her in her Halo swaddle sleepsack, but am afraid she will get too warm with a sleeper on as well. The only onesies she is clean are short sleeved, and I think her arms would get cold. Do you think a sleeper under the Halo sleepsack would make her too warm if the house is at 72 degrees?

You can't go by hands and feet! They a will always be cold hun. Go by chest and back of neck, don't let your baby overheat xx

You can’t go based off hands & feet because those are usually colder than the rest of their tiny body.
However I’d just invest in some long sleeve onesies & for sure place in sleep sack.

I would definitely use a sleeper and a sleep sack.  My baby’s hands stay cold at night if they’re outside of his swaddle.  The test to see if they’re warm enough is by their chest or back of neck.

My home feels chilly at 72° so I guess everybody’s different. I’ve heard baby needs one extra later than what you have. So if you are comfortable in pants and a shirt than baby needs one more layer than you, such as a blanket or swaddle.

My pediatrician specifically brought up to dress her in a thin sleeper and keep the house between 68-72 degrees. I asked if she could be in a swaddle as well and he said that’s fine, but nothing more. He said cold hands/feet are not an issue, but overheating is a risk for SIDS. Feel the back of baby’s neck for sweat/too much heat to see if the temp is too much.
Turns out in my house overheating isn’t going to be a thing, we like to sleep with it around 64 degrees.
