Stretch and membrane sweep?????

I told my dr that im ready like now to have this baby lol and she suggested we do a sweep and stretch at my next appointment if I dont go into labor on my own before then.
I'll be 38 weeks and 4 days.
How well do they work?? Is it painful?????? She said it almost always works but if my body isnt ready it just wont happen.

Litterally just had one a few hours ago. No pain just a bit uncomfortable. Said bloody show most likely will fall out 
My OB just wanted to see where my cervix was at and I am still really far behind at 1cm at 39 + 2. Let’s see if it’ll do anything 😭

Had one Tuesday morning at 3cm and almost fully effaced. Sadly, didn’t work for me. I didn’t think it was painful, mostly uncomfortable. I think it’s worth a try because it definitely works for some!

I had one yesterday on my due date. I've had cramps but no obvious labour signs. No blood or loss of plug, no contractions either. Wish I knew what would get this baby out 😭

I had this done yesterday (Wednesday) and it was pretty uncomfortable for me but I expected that. At my appointment I was only 1cm and soft so hopefully it’s done something! 
I’ve been crampy off and on throughout the day but no timetable contractions. I can’t really go for a power walk to get things going as my left hip is floating #stillpregnant 
Baby girl is due the 20th but if this doesn’t get me into the hospital over the next 24 hrs, my midwife is inducing me next week.

I had one done at 38+4 lost my mucus plug but the contractions stop after 24hrs. I’m getting a second one done at 39weeks hope that one works

I just had one this morning!  It wasn’t bad at all, felt like a cervix check.  I’m almost 38 weeks and have had 4 checks since 34ish weeks (to rule out preterm labor).  If you haven’t had a check yet, it might hurt.  It was so fast my husband (who was sitting right next to me) didn’t notice it even happened 😂 I went on a long walk after to try to help it along but 12 hrs later, still waiting.  I did lose a bit of blood tinged mucus but not sure if it’s from progress or just the check.  I was barely 1 cm last week and today I’m the same but soft and she could feel my baby’s head :) so fingers crossed!

My doctor did that for me with my second daughter. Went into labor the next morning. I remember it being very uncomfortable.

I didn’t think it really hurt. Just more uncomfortable but fairly quick. I’ve had 3. Now 39+6. Had one yesterday. I’ve heard they can also have a cumulative effect. Idk, obviously no baby yet for me. I’ve been 1 cm dilated since 36 weeks

It's failed most but worked for most 50/50 chance. However the sweep hurts like hell 😬
