Is it worth it to get your tonsils removed?? I’m in my 20’s and keep getting reoccurring tonsillitis/tonsil stones, but scared to get them taken out

I had mine removed on my 7th birthday because I kept getting strep throat, haven't had strep since and I'm 25 now. Idk 💁

I would get strep a few times a month so I had to get mine out. Worst 2 weeks of my life but I would get a sore throat every month. I haven’t been sick since. Totally worth it

I read an article recently that said people who have their tonsils removed are more likely to have throat infections later.
