Cheating or spammed

So my partner gets sooo many random emails from really random different emails saying he viewed their profile.. they were happy to have talked to him.. can’t wait to see him next week etc.. first it was in his junk & now it’s in his main inbox.. is this a spam? Is there anything fishy or anything I should be worried about? I literally do not see any time at all where he would be able to go and cheat so I doubt that he is physically.. but.. over the phone at work? Websites at work?
